Q: How can I partner with the school?

Because partnership is about building a relationship of trust, we try to provide several different ways for people to become connected with the school.

Tour

Almost all of our partners have personally seen the school. Because of the uniqueness of our vision, most people don’t understand the scope of it until they see it for themselves. Most of the time, they remark, “I had know idea all this was going on. Thank you for what you do.”

Chat

Afterwards, we would like to sit down with you over lunch or coffee to debrief.  It’s a lot to take in, and we like to personalize partner involvement by listening to what excites you about the school and matching you with an opportunity mix that is just right for you.

Give

Giving options are simple:

  • Pledges.

Many of our partners begin their relationship with a smaller gift pledge, which steadily grows as they see their investment produce fruit.

There is no maximum gift pledge, but we ask for a $50/month minimum gift.  We call it the “Nifty Fifty”, because it is 10% of the cost per student. and makes it easy for partners to understand how much of an education they are subsidizing and add to.

We are currently asking for 200 people to pledge Nifty Fifties. This would fully cover the cost of 10 of our most needy students.

  • Sponsorships

With a cost per student that is half the amount of urban public school costs, it is no wonder that many of our partners decide to sponsor a student for $6,000.

  • Serve

Many of our partners have begun their relationship with the school by volunteering to serve the students in some capacity. After they give their time, many feel confident to share their financial resources a well. See the VOLUNTEERING section for opportunities to serve.
